Cam Haiser put out the original fire and shut GB down for 2 innings before giving up 4 runs of his own in the first part of the fourth inning. Jack Bakus would pitch the remaining 2 innings giving up 4 runs of his own. Dow could only muster 3 hits which were collected by Riley Nelson, Logan McCoy, and Ryan Erdmann.
" We played a great game in the opener and battled hard and came up just short. I think we were just worn out for game two and I have to tip my cap to Grand Blanc as they really hit the ball and had great pitching all day. They are a very good team. We hung right with them in game one and I think our boys realize we can play with the best when we execute consistently. This was a good learning experience for us and we will take it with us for the remainder of the season" stated Coach Juday.
The Chargers (15-13) will travel to Forest Hills Northern on Saturday for a doubleheader starting at 11AM.
