"Winning in the last inning is really exciting and game #1 was like two heavyweight fighters exchanging blows. We would score a bunch of runs and then they would come right back and plate a bunch themselves. i was happy to see our guys continue to fight with 2 outs and nobody on in the last inning. After that exciting win, it was great to see Caleb Brenske have a really good pitching performance in game 2. We were able to execute just enough situational hitting to give him a lead and then he shut the door. We need to build on this for the remainder of the week and moving into next week's district play" Commented Coach Juday.
The Chargers (18-14) will travel to Petoskey for a doubleheader with the state ranked Northmen tomorrow.
